WhatsApp dark mode: What we know so far
- WhatsApp may soon roll out the much-awaited ‘Dark Mode’ feature on phones starting with iOS 13 users
- According to reports, the icons in dark mode will be in blue and grey colour scheme

WhatsApp, however, has not officially confirmed any details as to when the feature will be live.
The website also mentioned that once the app is updated, the icons in dark mode will be in blue and grey colour scheme. This primarily means that the feature may come in two different dark modes to choose from: one with a dark gray/blue background, and another with pure black.

Apart from this, the messaging app is reportedly also working on updates such as hide muted status update, splash screen, among others. The new splash screen essentially shows up on the phone initially when the app loads for the first time, with the WhatsApp logo slashing on a white background. The feature is already available in iPhones and Android beta app.
WhatsApp recently updated its app to enable users to choose which group they want to be added to. The feature comes with three settings that include: “Everyone", "My Contacts", "My Contacts Except..." The user can choose how and to which group they want to add themselves. To enable the setting, go to Settings – Account – Privacy – Groups and choose the desired option.
